Small Business Direct Install Lighting (SBDIL)
Creating a profitable business begins with being efficient. Mattos Electric LLC and Hawaii Energy is dedicated to helping your operations get as energy efficient as possible.
For a limited time, Mattos Electric LLC in conjunction with Hawaii Energy will be providing small businesses and restaurants with free* lighting retrofits. The work will be performed by us who will visit your business and remove inefficient lamps in exchange for energy-efficient lighting
Does Your Business Qualify?
1. The electric utility billing rate schedule must be "G", or
2. The small business is on a master-metered** electric utility account with a total space under 5,000 sq. ft., or
3. A restaurant.
The following steps take place :
- Assess - First, we will visit your business for a free assessment of your existing lighting, then provide an application for your review and signature, which will include provisions such as liability, insurance and warranty. We also require a copy of your HELCO bill to verify the service rate schedule and account information.
- Pre-Approval - We will then submit your application to Hawaii Energy for approval.
- Order - Once the application is approved, we will order the correct energy-efficient lighting* that will suit your aesthetic needs.
- Install – Our new lighting will be installed at your convenience.
And that’s it! In some instances, a Hawaii Energy representative may stop by to audit your facility after the job is all pau!

*Warranty : 2 years for LED flourscents and 5 years for LED bulbs
